The present petition arises out of the order as passed by the learned Civil Judge, Kangra, on 17.09.2025 in Civil Suit No.56 of 2014, whereby the plaintiff’s evidence had been ordered to be closed. 2. The facts of the case are that the plaintiff/petitioner has filed suit for declaration before the learned Civil Judge, Kangra, District Kangra, H.P. As per the copy of the plaint, which has been appended with the present petition, the same was filed on 22.03.2014. The suit was resisted and contested by the defendants by filing written statement on 21.10.2014. 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 ( 2026:HHC:13699 ) 3. Learned Trial Court vide its order dated 17.09.2025 closed the plaintiff’s evidence. It has been stated in the order that keeping in view, the case is more than 10 years old and targeted, therefore, evidence of the plaintiff is ordered to be closed. Though, this Court finds no infirmity or illegality in the impugned order, however, in the interest of justice and as a matter of indulgence, last and final opportunity is granted to the plaintiff to lead/conclude his evidence subject to payment of costs of Rs.15,000/- to be paid to the defendants. The petitioner/plaintiff shall pay the costs of Rs.15,000/- to the defendants on the next date of hearing when the case is listed before the learned trial Court. It is made clear that in case costs is not paid to the defendants, in that event, order dated 17.09.2025 passed by the learned trial Court shall revive. 4.
