Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 166 days. Charge sheet has been submitted and charges have been framed.
On the other hand, learned advocate for the State submits that the statement of the victim do implicate the present petition for such heinous offence.
Having regard to the provisions of POCSO Act being charged against the present petitioner, at this stage, I am not inclined to accede to the prayer for bail.
Petitioner would be at liberty to renew his prayer for bail after the evidence of the victim is over.
As such, CRM (M) 442 of 2026 is dismissed.
