The petitioner herein has lodged a police complaint before the Ayyampettai Police Station on 10.11.2025 and C.S.R was issued in C.S.R.No. 803 of 2025. Since there was no response from the police, the petitioner has chosen to file the present private complaint before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.III, Thanjavur, and it was numbered as Crl.M.P No.61 of 2026. After numbering, the learned Judge has chosen to return the same on the ground that the case does not fall within the jurisdiction of the Court. This order is put to challenge in the present petition. 3. First of all, it is not known how the Court has chosen to return the same after numbering the petition. That apart, the e-Court Mission Mode Project website indicates that Ayyampettai Police Station falls within the jurisdiction of Judicial Magistrate No.III, Thanjavur. 4. In such circumstances, the order dated 05.05.2026 is set aside and the matter is remitted back to the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.III, Thanjavur.
