This bail application has been filed on behalf of Sonu Khalifa @ Tabrej Khalifa @ Tabrez who is in custody since 09.08.2025 in connection with Lohardaga P.S. Case No. 142 of 2025 (NDPS Case No. 09 of 2025) for the offence registered under Sections 17(b), 21(b), 22(b) and 29 of NDPS Act pending in the Court of Principal District & Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, Lohardaga, is pressed into motion. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that nothing was seized from the possession of the petitioner and he has been roped in this case merely because 12.82 grams of brown sugar was recovered from one Amjad Ansari who is said to be in company with this petitioner at the time of such seizure. The petitioner has no criminal antecedent. Learned A.P.P. for the State opposed the prayer for bail. Under the circumstances, the above-named petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/-(Twenty-Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Court below.
