Pinaygash, Counsel for State ORDER This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to issue patta in the name of the petitioner, in the light of the Anupantham Patta originally issued in the name of the petitioner's father, namely, Late Raji, S/o Ponnan, in respect of the property comprised in Survey No.595/4B, situated at T. Pallapatti Hamlet, Thimmana Nallur Village, Dindigul East Taluk, Dindigul District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 27.05.2026 within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's father was granted an Anupantham Patta in respect of the property comprised in Survey No.595/4B, situated at T. After the demise of the petitioner's father, the petitioner, being one of the legal heirs, became entitled to succeed to the property. It is further submitted that the other legal heirs have executed a registered Settlement Deed relinquishing their respective shares in favour of the petitioner, vide Document No.2679 of 2018, dated 29.08.2018. Based on the said Settlement Deed, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 27.05.2026 seeking issuance of patta in his name. 3. Considering the limited nature of the relief sought, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's claim, this Court directs the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.05.2026, in the light of the Anupantham Patta originally granted in favour of the petitioner's father and the registered Settlement Deed relied upon by the petitioner, and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity to all necessary parties, if required, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP(MD).
