Upon perusal of the submission made by the learned government advocate, it is brought to the Court’s attention that the petitioner has three previous criminal cases. 3. Considering the petitioner’s past conduct, this Court is of the firm opinion that if the petitioner is enlarged on bail, it may encourage or embolden him to engage in similar unlawful behaviour in the future. The gravity of the allegations combined with the petitioner’s prior record necessitates a cautious approach. 4. In light of these considerations and in the interest of justice, this Court finds no ground to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
