Item.12 06.10.2026 ssi Ct. 3 WPA 24398 of 2025 Kakali Halder -vs- The Maheshtala Municipality & others. Mr. Ambu Bindu Chakraborty Mr. Narendra Nath Malakar …for the petitioner Mr. R. N. Chakraborty Mr. R. Singh …for the Maheshtala Municipality 1. Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record. 2. The writ petition has been filed for ensuring compliance of the order of demolition dated 10th June, 2019. At the time of hearing, the learned advocate for the petitioner, however, placed before this Court a demolition notice dated 5th October, 2026 and would submit that since the private respondents did not act in accordance with the self- demolition order, the final demolition notice dated 05th October 2026 has been issued. 3. The Municipality is represented and would confirm the factum of issuing the demolition notice. As per the demolition notice, the demolition program is fixed on 12th October 2026 at 11:30 AM. 4. Noting that the Municipality has already proceeded 2 in the matter and demolition program has been finalized, I am of the view that no fruitful purpose will be served in retaining the matter on the file. 5. The same accordingly disposed of. (Raja Basu Chowdhury, J.)
