CRL OP No. 17446 of 2026 __________ Page2 of 4 ORDER The prayer sought in this petition is to transfer the investigation in Cr.No.161 of 2026 on the file of the 2nd Respondent Police Katpadi, Vellore to a Special Investigation Team to be constituted by the 1st Respondent. 2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the serious allegations contained in the F.I.R especially when the defacto complainant being a women was harassed, not even the offence under Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of women is even mentioned in the F.I.R. Absolutely no action has been taken. Hence, the petition. 3. Per contra the learned Government Advocate ( Crl side) would submit that it is a case in counter arising between relatives on account of property dispute. 4. Be that as it may, since the petitioner is bringing to the notice of the Court that not even appropriate sections of law are included in the F.I.R, I am of the view that the respondent themselves can continue the investigation, as it is a case in counter and the jurisdictional Deputy Superintendent of police shall monitor the investigation. The second respondent shall conduct the investigation https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
