When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel for the first respondent circulated the following instructions: “Kind attention is invited to the subject mentioned above. In this regard, it is submitted that the issue raised by the petitioners was placed before the 35th Academic Council Meeting held on 25.06.2026. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the Academic Council approved that the requirement of the Management Elective be waived in lieu of Naan Mudhalvan Course as a special case, and the students will be treated as having successfully completed their respective programmes in the year 2025, as a one-time measure. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the respondent authority should comply with the above instructions, agreed to by respondent. 4.
