Advocate (Crl.Side) ORDER The petitioner who apprehends arrest in the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 296(b), 118(1), 351(3) and 109 of BNS @ Sections 294, 324, 506 and 307 of IPC, in connection with Crime No.37 of 2026, seek anticipatory bail. 2. The case of the prosecution is that on 10.04.2026, due to a dispute over non-repayment of a loan, the petitioner engaged in a quarrel with the de https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CRL OP No. 10293 of 2026 __________ Page2 of 4 facto complainant and subsequently, assaulted him with a pen knife, causing injuries. Hence the case. 3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready and willing to abide by any condition that may be imposed by this Court and prayed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) reiterated the prosecution case and also submitted that the de facto complainant has admitted in the hospital on 10.04.2026 and discharged on 19.04.2026 and he also underwent a surgery. Hence, he opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 5. Considering the serious nature of the allegations against the petitioner and the gravity of the injuries sustained by the de facto complainant, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail.
