The petitioner purchased the subject property measuring 0.12 cents in S.F. No. 406/5, Arapakkam Village, under a registered Sale Deed dated 21.01.2008 and has been in continuous possession and enjoyment thereof. As the name of one Shanmugam was erroneously reflected in the revenue records, the petitioner submitted a representation and thereafter filed an online application dated 13.01.2026 seeking issuance of patta in his favour. Despite the lapse of considerable time, the respondent has neither conducted an enquiry nor passed any orders on the petitioner's application. Aggrieved by the inaction of the respondent, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking a direction to consider the application and issue patta in accordance with law. 3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr. M. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondent / Tahsildar to consider the petitioner's online application dated 13.01.2026 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law after issuing due notice to the petitioner and any other interested parties, if any, and affording them a reasonable opportunity of personal hearing. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of.
