The captioned Writ Petition is filed seeking a mandamus or directions to the respondents 1 and 2 and 4 to hold an enquiry in terms of the grievances raised against the third respondent Academy by the first petitioner and others dated:18.08.2025 as per Annexure-G and to constitute a fresh Selection Committee by the State Government before holding of the 17th Bengaluru International Film Festival from 29.01.2026 to 06.02.2026 forthwith in view of the urgency in the matter. 3. Counsel for the respective parties presented several contentions. Heard the arguments and perused the papers with care. 4. The petitioners contend that they have submitted their grievance on the 18th day of August 2025, to take suitable action against the Office Bearers of the Kannada Chalanachitra Academy; to direct the Academy to submit the books of account duly audited to the District Registrar. In the present Writ Petition, the petitioners are seeking a Writ of Mandamus. The true copy of the grievance submitted on the 18th day of August 2025 is furnished, and the same is marked as - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:6879 WP No. 2285 of 2026 Annexure-G. Perused with care. Taking note of the same, a Mandamus is ordered directing respondent No.4 to consider the grievance submitted on the 18th day of August 2025 vide Annexure-G in accordance with the law. 5. The prayer for the constitution of a fresh Selection Committee by the State Government before holding the 17th Bengaluru International Film Festival from 29.01.2026 to 06.02.2026 has become infructuous as of today. 6.
