It can be seen that the same is taken on file for the offences under Sections 294(b), 323, 279, 338 and 506 (2) of the Indian Penal Code. 2. The parties have filed Joint Compromise Memo. The de facto complainant and the victim are also present before this Court and the supporting affidavits are also filed. 3. Upon examination by this Court, they also stood by the affidavit and submitted that the case can be quashed on compromise. 4. I have gone through the gravamen of the allegations contained in the case. The de facto complainant and the victim, both of them are present before this Court. 5. Considering the fact that the parties have resolved their issue, I am of the view that the facts of this case are within the four corners of the law laid down by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in Gian Singh vs. State of Punjab1 , and therefore, the case is liable to be quashed on compromise. 6. In view thereof, the Criminal Original Petition in Crl.O.P.No.15805 of 2026 stands allowed. The final report and all further proceedings in C.C.No.4078 of 2025 on the file of XIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore shall stand quashed.
