Jiya Lal Bhardwaj, Judge (Oral) Learned Additional Advocate General has produced a communication dated 04.05.2026 issued by the Director of School Education, Himachal Pradesh and office order dated 20.04.2026 passed by the Deputy Director School, Education (Elementary), Shimla, District Shimla- 171004, H.P. The same are taken on record. 2. A perusal of office order dated 20.04.2026 passed by the Deputy Director School, Education (Elementary), Shimla, District Shimla-171004, H.P., reveals that the claim of the petitioners for grant of higher pay-scale/stage of pay on the analogy of the judgment passed in CWP No.1638 of 2024, 1 Whether the reporters of Local Papers may be allowed to see the judgment? ( 2026:HHC:14524 ) 2 titled, Mohit Sharma vs. State of H.P and others, has been rejected on the ground that the petitioners were initially engaged as Gram Vidya Upasak (GVU) and not as a direct contractual appointee under the standard Recruitment and Promotion Rules. 3. This Court vide order dated 04.12.2025 passed in CWP No.18929 of 2025, titled, Reena Kumari and another vs. State of H.P and others had given the direction to the respondents to consider and decide the representation of the petitioners in the light of the decision in Mohit Sharma’s case within four weeks. Since this Court had only given direction to the respondents to consider and decide the representation of the petitioners, the mandate contained in the judgment has been complied with, nothing remains to be adjudicated in the present petition and the same is accordingly disposed of. However, the petitioners may take appropriate recourse to challenge the order dated 20.04.2026 passed by the Deputy Director School, Education (Elementary), Shimla, District Shimla, H.P. 5.
