WP No. 24540 of 2026 For Petitioner(s): Mr.T.Shanmugam For Respondent(s): Mr.S.Sidhartha Vishnu Government Advocate ORDER The present writ petition has been filed to forbear respondents from in any manner dispossessing/evicting petitioners from their present place of street vending at Kamarajar Dam Road to Sandinalla Road, Udhagamandalam, the Nilgiris, till the competion of survey as specified under sub section (1) clause (3) of Street Vendors Protection of Livelihood and Regulations of Street Vending Act and certificate of vending is issued to all the street vendors, by considering representation dated 20.01.2026, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2. At the outset, it was submitted by learned Government Advocate for respondents that they would consider petitioners’ representation dated 20.01.2026 and pass appropriate orders, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by learned counsel for petitioners. 3. WP No. 24540 of 2026 opportunity of hearing to petitioners, and any other interested party, within a period two weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for the receipt of certified copy. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case. 4. Accordingly, writ petition stands disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
