B.S.Karthikeyan, learned counsel accepts notice for respondent Nos.1 and 2. 2. Petitioner is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: (a) Issue Writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the Respondents to rectify the Petitioner's name and the Address of the Schedule Property in the E- Khatha and the Petitioner's name in the Tax Paid Receipt, as per Representation dated 04/01/2026 vide ANNEXURE - G; (b) Issue such other Writs or orders as this Hon'ble Court deems fit in the facts and circumstances of the case ; 3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the name of the petitioner mentioned in the tax paid receipt is different from that which has been mentioned in the Khata certificate inasmuch as the actual name of the petitioner being "M. Sreenivasa Murthy," which is reflected in the Khata certificate, is now reflected as "M. Srinivasa Murthy" in the tax paid receipt. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:5846 WP No. 2330 of 2026 4. An application filed by the petitioner in that regard not having been considered, a representation had been submitted on 04.01.2026, which has also not been considered. It is in that background that the petitioner is before this Court seeking for the aforesaid reliefs. 5. A mistake which has occurred in any of the revenue documents, if pointed out, it is required to be reflected within a reasonable period of time, the same not having been done, I pass the following: ORDER i) Writ petition is allowed. ii) A mandamus is issued. Respondents are directed to rectify the name of the petitioner in the tax paid receipt as per the E-Khatha, which has been issued by the respondents and pass necessary orders within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
