WPCRL No. 811 of 2026 Hon’ble Rakesh Thapliyal, J.
1. Mrs. Indu Sharma and Mr. Suraj Singh Bisht, learned counsel for the petitioners.
2. Mrs. Rangoli Purohit, learned Brief Holder for the State.
3. The petitioners Kiran D/o Late Vikki Thalwal and Aman S/o Bablu Kashyap are praying for adequate protection for their life and liberty since there is a regular threat from the respondent no. 4 the mother of petitioner no. 1. No document has been placed on record with regard to the date of birth of the petitioner no. 1. Consequently, the State was directed to get the details from the institution where the petitioner no. 1 studied as well as from her mother.

Today, Mrs. Rangoli Purohit, learned Brief Holder, on instructions, apprise to this court that there is no document in the institution since the petitioner no. 1 did not appear in any examination, however, the concerned I.O. interact with the mother of petitioner no. 1, who informed that all the documents have been burnt but the petitioner no. 1 infact was born on 20.03.2007. She submits that according to her date of birth as communicated by the mother of the petitioner no. 1 she is major.
5. It is contended in the petition that both the petitioners are in love and now have decided to marry with each other shortly but since there is a regular threat they could not solemnize their marriage.
6. Since, now there is no dispute on the age of the petitioner nos. 1 and 2, let the S.S.P. concerned may assess the threat perception, if any, to the petitioners from respondent no. 4 and if he comes to the conclusion that there is any threat, take appropriate steps.
7. In addition to this, the S.H.O. concerned shall advise to the respondent not to take law in her hands.

8. Subject to the observation and direction as above, the writ petition is disposed of finally.
