This writ petition has been filed in tha nature of Mandamus seeking a direction against the respondents 1 to 4 to implement the 2/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP.(MD)No.18357 of 2026 circular in Na.Ka.No.003723/2026/H3 dated 16.06.2026, relating to issue supply of prashadams in temples under the control of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department. The petitioner has not raised any grievance regarding any violation in the supply of prashadams. His only grievance is that the Circular dated 16.06.2026 should be implemented by providing proper arragnements for continuous running of prasadha stalls within the temple premises. 2.Mr.M.P.Senthil, learned Counsel for State of Tamil Nadu appearing for the respondents 1 to 4, on instructions, submitted that the manufacture of prashadams had been earlier outsourced, but the contract period came to an end on 30.06.2026. Therefore, a policy decision has been taken to prepare the prashadams in the temple precincts itself through the temple administration and to sell them directly to the devotees. 3.This arrangement is highly appreciable, as the devotees can themselves witness the hygienic manner in which the prashadams are prepared.
