No.12511 of 2026 The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent for the offences punishable under Sections 296(b), 79 of BNS r/w Section 65E of IT Act, in Crime No.147 of 2026 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail. 2. The case of the prosecution is that on 11.06.2026, at about 05.00 p.m, the defacto complainant received 5 photographs on his mobile phone. These images were sent from the mobile number 7305151573 through the Instagram personal accounts “muthuvel0019” and “poojakutty04”. Along with the photographs, a voice message was received from the same identity, which contained defamotry allegations assassinating his wife's character. Hence, the case. 3. 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel for State of TN (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent Police would submit that as per the FIR the offences are bailable in nature.
