ORDER This petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the 2nd and 3rd respondents to give a police protection to Sri 16 Pillai Kali Amman Kovil 31st Chitra Pournami Navasakthi Homa Festival celebration and Annathanam and vilakku Pooja dated 01.05.2026 in petitioner street temple namely Arulmigu Sri 16 Pillai Kali Amman Kovil situated in 16 pillai kali amman kovil street, Othakadai, Madurai, based on petitioner's representation dated 23.04.2026. 2. The aforesaid temple is an ancient temple and the family temple of the petitioner. Every year, the petitioner and other pangalies and public in together celebrate the festival of Sri 16 Pillai Kali Amman Kovil 31st Chitra Pournami Navasakthi Homa Festival. This year also, the festival is scheduled to be conducted on 01.05.2026 pursuant to the permission given by the third respondent. However, the 4th and 5th respondents are creating problem and trying to disturb the temple celebrations. Heard the learned counsel on either side and carefully perused the materials placed before this Court. Since no adverse order is proposed to be passed against the private respondents, notice to them is dispensed with. 4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the third respondent police authorities are hereby directed to facilitate the petitioner and the rival group jointly conduct Sri 16 Pillai Kali Amman Kovil 31st Chitra Pournami Navasakthi Homa Festival, situated at No. 16, Pillai Kali Amman Kovil Street, Othakadai, Madurai, in a peaceful and orderly manner, without any law and order issues. 5.
