Chatterjee, APP …...... 02 /23.03.2026: This bail application has been filed by the petitioner under Sections 483 & 484 of BNSS, 2023 wherein, prayer has been made for grant of bail as he is in custody for allegedly committing offence punishable under Sections 317(5)/3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Sections 11(1)(d)(e) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and Section 12(1)(2)(3) of Jharkhand Bovine Animals Prohibition of Slaughter Act. 2. Heard, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned counsel for the State and have also gone through the impugned order. 3. Learned APP opposes the prayer for bail. 4. This petitioner is the driver of the Tata Magic vehicle in which it is alleged that 9 bovine animals were being transported. Charge has already been framed against the petitioner. 5. The petitioner is in custody since 08.12.2025. 6. Considering the aforesaid fact, I am inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned S.D.J.M., Koderma in connection with Jainagar PS Case No. 256 of 2025 subject to the condition that one of the bailors should be a close relative of the 2026:JHHC:8029 2 petitioner, having sufficient landed property in his/her own name within the State of Jharkhand with a further condition that the petitioner shall appear and mark his attendance before the Registrar, Civil Court, Koderma once in a month till disposal of the trial. 7.
