1 IN THE HIGH COURT AT CALCUTTA [ CIRCUIT BENCH AT PORT BLAIR ] *** WPA/494/2026 Dipti Mondal Vs. The Superintending Engineer and another Mr. P. Kannan …for the petitioner Mr. S.C.Mishra … for the respondents [through virtual mode] October 01, 2026 [SR] Item No.11 1. The writ petitioner claimed grant of electrical connection. The representation dated 01.07.2026 filed in connection with such claim has not been disposed of by the authorities. 2. Learned advocate for the respondents submits that the respondent no.2 will deal with the representation and pass a reasoned and speaking order in respect thereof. If the petitioner’s claim is admissible, subject to complying with the requisite formalities, consequential relief may also be granted to her. In view of such submission, pendency of the writ petition would serve no useful purpose. 3. The writ petition is disposed of enabling the authority (respondent no.2) to dispose of the representation and grant electrical connection, subject to fulfillment of the conditions if the petitioner’s claim is found admissible, within the period of six weeks from the date of receipt/production of the copy of this order. 4. All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. ( Madhuresh Prasad, J. )
