When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that although the petitioner has sought a larger relief, he would restrict his prayer to the extent of seeking copies of documents concerning the subject matter of the acquisition. 3. This Court, suo motu, impleads the Project Director, National Highways Authority of India, Project Implementation Unit (PIU) – Chengalpattu, being the competent authority, as Respondent No. 4 to this Writ Petition for the adjudication of the relief sought by the petitioner. 4. Under such circumstances, Mrs.S.R. Sumathy, learned Standing Counsel, enters appearance on behalf of the newly impleaded 4th respondent and submits that the relevant copies of the documents and reports pertaining to the acquisition will be provided to the petitioner within a stipulated time frame to be fixed by this Court. __________ Page3 of 6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 25169 of 2026 5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court directs the newly impleaded 4th respondent/Project Director, National Highways Authority of India, to provide the relevant copies of the documents and reports concerning the subject matter of the acquisition within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. 6.
