…...... 02/ 27.01.2026: Heard, learned counsel for the parties. 2. In this case compassionate appointment has been sought for. 3. Petitioner is daughter of the deceased-employee, who died in harness on 08.07.2014. Admittedly, the petitioner was of thirteen years at the time of death. The petitioner was ineligible to be appointed. It is an admitted case of the petitioner that the petitioner after Intermediate applied for compassionate appointment on 13.05.2025 i.e. after eleven years of the death, which was rejected by the impugned order. 4. The impugned order dated 25.06.2025 suggests that since the respondents due to administrative reason has stopped all types of appointment including appointment on compassionate ground in the Central Silk Board, the petitioner cannot be appointed. 5. The basic purpose of grant compassionate appointment is to enable the family of the deceased to tied over the immediate financial crises, which is faced by the family on sudden death of the bread
winner. Here, the bread winner died on 08.07.2014 and the application for compassionate appointment was made on 13.05.2025 i.e. after 11 years. There is huge delay in applying for compassionate appointment. On this ground alone this writ petition is liable to be dismissed. Further, the respondents have taken a plea that they have stopped all types of appointment in Central Silk Board.
This ground also cannot be ignored while deciding this application, thus, no relief can be granted to this petitioner, the same is hereby dismissed. (ANANDA SEN, J.) 27th January, 2026 R.S./ Uploaded on 28 /01/2026
