GP FOR COOPERATION The Court made the following: THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE BALAJI MEDAMALLI WRIT PETITION NO: 5837/2023 ORDER: The writ petition is filed to declare the action of the respondents in not extending the age of retirement of the petitioner from 60 years to 62 years, in terms of G.O.Ms.No.15, Finance (HR.IV-FR&LR) Department, dated 31.01.2022, and G.O.Ms.No.15, dated 04.02.2019 and G.O.Ms.No.36 dated 01.03.2019, as illegal and arbitrary. 2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, Sri Ch.S.V.Suraj, learned counsel for the petitioner, submitted that, pursuant to the interim order dated 09.03.2023 passed by this Court, the petitioner continued in service till he attained the age of 62 years and has since retired from service. In view of the same, nothing remains for adjudication in the writ petition and the matter has become infructuous. 3. Recording the said submission, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. However, if the petitioner has any grievance with regard to the consequential service benefits, the petitioner is at liberty to agitate before appropriate authorities, in accordance with law. No order as to costs.
