Kannagi For Respondent(s): Ms.Inthu Karunakaran, Government Counsel Order This writ Petition has been filed to direct the 3rd respondent, to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 02.04.2026 and subsequently to grant patta for the lands comprised in natham survey numbers. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the land comprised in Natham Old S.F. No. 4/1 (New S.F. No. 780/7), measuring an extent of 3.46 ares (3723 sq.ft.), situated at Theyyar Village, Vandavasi Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District, originally belonged to the petitioner’s father. Following his demise, the petitioner, by way of succession, has been in continuous possession and enjoyment of the same. In order to obtain a patta for the subject land, the petitioner approached the 3rd respondent, who informed him that no government permission had been granted to issue pattas for Grama Natham lands. Consequently, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 02.04.2026 to the respondents, requesting the issuance of a patta in his favour. In reply, the learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner’s representation dated 02.04.2026 will be disposed of by the respondents within a period of eight weeks. 4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Counsel for the respondents and also perused the materials available on record. 5. In view of the above, since the petitioner is entitled to get patta for the subject land, this Court directs the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 02.04.2026 on its own merits and dispose of the same in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 6. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
