… Petitioner(s)
Mr. Milon Mukherjee, Sr Adv. Mr. Anisur Rahaman
… for the Petitioner(s) Mr. S. Mukherjee Ms. Pramita Banerjee
… for the State-respondent(s)
Learned Senior advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is similarly placed as the other accused persons who has been granted bail in CRM (M) 588 of 2026. Learned Senior advocate also submits that the petitioner is in custody since 13th April, 2026; charge-sheet has already been submitted and the prosecution has relied upon 23 witnesses in order to prove its case. State opposes the prayer for bail. I have taken into account the statement of Uttam Mondal and Rumina Khatun. Having considered the narration of facts by each of the witnesses and the petitioner being similarly placed as the other accused person who has been granted bail, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail on the same terms
2 and conditions as was imposed on Jaharulla Sk in CRM (M) 588 of 2026. Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner [Merajul Sk @ Mirajul Sk] is Allowed. Accordingly, CRM (M) 1982 of 2026 is allowed. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Memo of evidence submitted be kept with the record. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
