Petitioners are before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: “a) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent Nos. 2 and 3 to consider representations dated 03.01.2025 and 04.01.2025 submitted by the petitioners and to revise/amend the land acquisition sketch and thereby direct the respondents not to take any action to lay the drainage in the property belonging to the petitioners vide Annexures-A and B. b) Pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court deems fit in the facts and circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice and equity. 2. The short grievance of the petitioners are that the representations submitted by the petitioners on 03.01.2025 and 04.01.2025 at Annexures 'A' and 'B' have not been considered by the respondent Nos.2 & 3. 3. Whenever any representation is submitted to an authority, it is required for the said authority to consider the same and pass necessary orders within reasonable time either accepting or rejecting the representation. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:5494 WP No. 650 of 2025 4. Needless to say, in either case, the same would have to be accompanied by reasons. The representations having been submitted more than a year ago, has remained unconsidered. As such, I pass the following:- ORDER i. The writ petition is allowed. ii. A mandamus issued directing respondent Nos.2 and 3 to consider the representations dated 03.01.2025 and 04.01.2025 at Annexures 'A' and 'B' within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. iii.
