2. The petitioner is an accused in this case, which is registered for the alleged offences under Sections 296(b), 115(2), 315(3), 318(4) of BNS. The allegation is that the petitioner is said to have cheated the de facto complainant to the tune of Rs.18,70,000/- and in this regard the Car of the petitioner was seized and produced before the Court. The Court has now returned the property for the interim custody of the petitioner, however imposed a condition to execute a bond of Rs.20,00,000/-. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the said condition is onerous. 4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that considering the overall facts and circumstances of the case, the quantum of cheating and to the nature of the Car, the condition has been imposed. 5. I have considered the rival submissions made on either side and perused the material records of the case. 6. It can be seen that the vehicle involved is Skoda Slavia Car produced in the year 2024 and from the Insurance Policy, the value of the vehicle is taken as Rs.11,51,200/-. Considering that now we are in the year 2026 and considering the overall facts and circumstances of the case, I am of the view that the __________ Page2 of 4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
