Learned Additional Government Advocate raises a preliminary objection that the representation at Annexure-P to P5 is not given by the petitioners individually. Those representations are given in the name of "Sakamma, Badavane, Gudisalugala, Nivasigalu". Moreover, the petitioners are seeking to raise a public cause inasmuch as they are seeking directions to the authorities to reject the application said to have been filed by one Ananda seeking grant of lands in Survey No.46 of Kaggalipura Village, Uttarahalli Hobli, Bangalore South Taluk. 3. There is substance in the submission of the learned Additional Government Advocate, if the petitioners are seeking to raise a public cause or espouse public cause, then they will have to file a public interest litigation. Therefore, the writ - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:5686 WP No. 805 of 2026 petition in the present form cannot be maintained. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of, reserving liberty to the petitioners to file a public interest litigation, if so, advised.
