Under the impugned awards, the petitioner had been directed to reinstate the respondents- workmen on similar posts and on similar basis w.e.f. their respective dates of retrenchment with further direction to pay compensation to them in the sum of ₹50,000/- towards back wages. 2. Learned counsel for the parties are ad-idem that these writ petitions are squarely covered by the decision rendered in The Block Medical Officer-cum- Chairman versus Shakuntla Devi.2 The operative part of the decision is as under:- “5. For the foregoing reasons, no interference is called for with the impugned awards. All these writ petitions, therefore, lack merit and are accordingly dismissed. Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, also stand disposed of.” Following the ratio of above decision, the present writ petitions are also dismissed affirming the awards under challenge.
