30.09.2026 Sl. No. 29 (DL) Ct.No.19 (Susanta) (Bench I.D. 266052) WPA 17406 of 2026 Minati Chowdhury & Ors. Vs. Union of India & Ors. Mr. Sayan Chattopadhyay, Mr. Rokan Ali Mollah, Mr. Soumyadeep Das, … for the Petitioners. Mr. Sujit Bhunia, Mr. Debanandan Bhattacharya, …. For the State. Ms. Manika Roy, Mr. Atanu Sur, …. For the NHAI. Mr. K. Dalal, Mr. Goutam Dinda, … for the Union of India. 1. Affidavit of service as filed today on behalf of the writ petitioner is taken on record. 2. The parties are represented by their respective learned advocates. 3. After hearing the learned advocates for the contending parties, it appears to this Court that the principal grievance of the present writ petitioners is that they have not received the copies of the award as have been passed by the acquiring body, that is, the respondent no 5 authority. 4. It is further understood that unless the copies of the award are provided to the writ petitioners, the writ petitioners cannot take recourse to the law challenging the assessment of the award. 2 5. In view of such, this Court while disposing of the instant writ petition directs the respondent no. 5 authority to provide the copies of the award to all the writ petitioners individually, positively within 30 working days from today. 6. The time limit as fixed by this Court is peremptory and mandatory. 7. With the aforesaid observations, W.P.A. 17406 of 2026 is disposed of. 8. Since affidavits have not been called for, the assertions as made in the instant writ petition are deemed to have been denied. (Partha Sarathi Sen, J.)
