2. Learned counsel for the petitioner and respondent No.2 in unison submit that during the pendency of these proceedings, the parties to the lis have settled their dispute amicably and have filed a joint memo and an affidavit before this Court to that effect, seeking permission to compound the offences.
3. The affidavit of the complainant reads as follows:
“2. I state that the petitioner have filed the above criminal petition seeking quashing of Criminal proceedings initiated by me in C.C.No.2207/2025 on the file of the Addl. Civil Judge and JMFC, Cr.Patna, petitioner and myself have arrived at a settlement in the terms of the joint memo filed before this Hon’ble Court, hence I do not have any objections to quash the proceedings as prayed by the petitioner in the criminal petitions.”

Though the offences alleged against the petitioner in the case at hand inter alia are the ones punishable under Sections 352 and 351(2) and 351(3) of the BNS, which are non- cognizable offences, since it is a dispute between the parties and the allegations are not against the State, I deem it appropriate to accept the joint memo and the affidavit and terminate the proceedings against the petitioner.
