The brief facts which has culminated in the filing of this writ petition are set out below: 2.1. It is the case of the petitioners that they worked under the respondent Corporation in various capacities and retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation. The respondent settled their terminal benefits with delay. However, the respondents have failed to pay the Retirement Benefits Scheme Recovery (RBSR) amount which was collected in the form of monthly subscription from the petitioners’ salary. Hence, the respondents are liable to pay a sum of Rs.18,500/- to the petitioners towards RBSR amount. Therefore, https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP Nos. 24274, 24277 & 24283 of 2026 ____________ Page No.4 of 6 the petitioners have made their representations to the respondents to pay the amount which is liable to be paid by the respondents along with interest. Since there is no response, the petitioners are before this Court. 3. Heard the learned Counsel on either side and perused the records. 4. Admittedly, the Retirement Benefits Scheme Recovery (RBSR) amount has not been paid to the petitioners. Therefore, the petitioners are entitled to the same. (a) Therefore, the Writ petitions are disposed of directing the respondents to pay the eligible amount towards Retirement Benefits Scheme Recovery along with interest at the rate of 6% per annum, within a period of one (1) month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Connected miscellaneous petitions in W.M.P.Nos.26437, 26445 and 26456 of 2026 are ordered subject to payment of single Court fee.
