SL. No Date Office Notes, reports, orders or proceedings or directions and Registrar’s order with Signatures COURT’S OR JUDGES’S ORDERS WPMS No.1197 of 2026 Hon’ble Pankaj Purohit, J. Ms. Geetanjali Dhami, learned counsel for the petitioner. 2. Mr. Suyash Pant, learned S.C. for the State. 3. Ms. Anjali Bhagarva, learned counsel for respondent no.4. 4. Mr. Piyush Garg, learned counsel, has instruction to appear on behalf of respondent no.5, who prays for and is granted time to file his vakalatnama in the matter, during the course of the day. 5. By this writ petition, petitioner has sought to quash the entries of the revenue records (khatauni/bhulekh) pertaining to Kahsra Nos.111, 112, 113 and 103 of Village-Udalhedi, Pargrana-Manglore, Tehsil-Roorkee, District-Haridwar, whereby the land recorded as Kabristan/Marghat (public utility land under Class 6(3)/Class IV Category) has been shown in the name of private person. 6. This Court is of the view that even if the entries have wrongly been made in the revenue records, to correct entries the forum is not the High Court. The petitioner could have maintained an application before the Collector under Section 33 and 39 of U.P. Land Revenue Act, 1901. 7. It is informed by the learned counsel for the State as well as private respondents that though such an application was moved by the other petitioners/persons but said application was allowed by the Revenue Authority. But the writ against that order was allowed and the order passed by Revenue Authority correcting the entries was set aside vide order dated 20.12.2017, passed in Writ Petition (M/S) No.851 of 2010 and 909 of 2010. 2 8. Thus, according to the respondent(s), the matter has attained finality so far as correction of revenue entries is concerned. 9. In such view of the matter, this Court cannot interfere in the matter. However petitioner may avail appropriate remedy available to him under the private law remedy, if so advised. 10. Accordingly writ petition stands disposed of. (Pankaj Purohit, J.) 06.05.2026 SK
