The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the respondents to consider her application dated 19.02.2026, submitted on 21.02.2026, under the Compensation to Victims of Hit and Run Motor Accidents Scheme, 2022. 3. The petitioner’s husband, Mr. Bharathi, died in a road accident on 06.04.2024. A case in Crime No.222 of 2024 was registered against an unknown person. The petitioner, along with the other legal heirs of the deceased, submitted an application dated 19.02.2026 under Section 161 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 read with the Compensation to Victims of Hit and Run Motor Accidents Scheme, 2022, seeking compensation of Rs.2,00,000/-. The learned Government Counsel, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner’s application would be considered within the time that may be fixed by this Court. 5.
