CRL OP No. 16378 of 2026 __________ Page2 of 4 ORDER The petitioner apprehends arrest for the alleged offence under Section 194(3) of B.N.SS. Altered to Section 80 of BNS in Crime No. 216 of 2026 on the file of the respondent police seeks anticipatory bail. 2. The case of the prosecution is that petitioners are parent-in-law of the deceased. It is alleged in the FIR that the defacto complainant’s daughter was subjected to harassment by the petitioners and their son in connection with demands for dowry which ultimately led to her death. Hence, the case. 3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners are innocent and they have been falsely implicated in the present case and that they have not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. He further submitted that the petitioners are ready to abide by any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prays for grant of bail to the Petitioners. 4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the Respondent Police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that in this case, investigation is pending and RDO enquiry is also pending. 5. I have given my anxious consideration to either side submissions and perused the materials available on record. 6. From the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), it is seen that investigation in this case is still pending and RDO enquiry is yet to be completed.
Hence, this Court is of the view that it is premature to consider granting anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
