For Petitioner(s): Mr.T.Dhasarathan For Respondent(s): Mr.N.Palanivel Government Advocate (Criminal side) ORDER The petitioner, apprehending arrest for the alleged offences under Sections 5 (I), 5 (j) (ii) and 6 of the POCSO Act, 2012, in Crime No.66 of 2026 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner is aged approximately twenty-two years and the victim is approximately seventeen years. It is alleged that the petitioner became acquainted with the defacto-complainant, made her fall in love with him and committed sexual assault against her. He further submitted that both the petitioner and the defacto-complainant were in a consensual relationship. He also stated that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent condition that may be imposed by this Court and ready to co-operate for investigation. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that the victim is approximately seventeen years old and that the petitioner committed sexual assault on her, as a result of which the victim girl became pregnant. Hence, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 5. According to the petitioner, it was a consensual relationship. However, the victim is aged about seventeen years and has also become pregnant.
