When the matter was taken up for hearing, it is informed by the learned Government Advocate for the respondents 1 and 3 that the subsistence allowance has been paid to the petitioner. Further, he would submit that the departmental proceedings shall be initiated against the petitioner for collecting money from the public for using bus stand toilet. 3. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record. 4. Taking note of the prima facie case that the petitioner had collected a sum of Rs.5,000/- from the public for using the bus stand toilet, the petitioner https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 23468 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 4 shall participate in the investigation and the departmental proceedings which are yet to commence. Therefore, this Court directs the first respondent to expedite the disciplinary proceedings against the petitioner and the trial shall be concluded within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above directions, the writ petition stands dismissed. Connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
