1. The present Writ Petition is filed questioning the action of Respondents in not paying salaries to Petitioner Nos.1 and 2 since April, 2025 and November, 2025 respectively and pleased to declare the same as illegal and arbitrary. 2. The facts are as follows;
3. The Petitioners are working as Forest Beat Officers in Ramanakka Beat, Nuzvidu Range, Eluru Division, Eluru District and Kandikuppa Beat, Amalapuram Range, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema District respectively on contract basis. While so, the services of the Petitioners were sought to be terminated on attaining the age of 60 years. Questioning the same, Petitioner No.1 filed W.P.No.20140 of 2025 before this Court and this Court disposed of the same on 05.08.2025 directing the Respondents to continue the Petitioner till a decision is taken by the Respondent-State as the issue with regard to regularization of services of the Petitioner was under serious consideration by the State Government. Petitioner No.2 also filed W.P.No.15921 of 2025 before this Court seeking extension of his services till 62 years and an interim order was
4 passed by this Court on 30.06.2025 to that effect. The grievance of the Petitioners now is that though they are discharging their duties as Forest Beat Officers in the respective places, their salaries are not being paid. Hence, the present Writ Petition is filed. 4. The learned Assistant Government Pleader for Services-I appearing for the Respondents on written instructions received from the District Forest Officer vide Rc.No.738/2024/E4, dated 23.12.2025 submits that the period Petitioners worked would be examined and accordingly salaries will be paid to them at the earliest. 5.
Considering the submissions, the Writ Petition is disposed of, with the following directions;
(i) The Respondent-authorities are directed to disburse salaries to
the Petitioners for the period they worked in the Forest Department
as Forest Beat Officers, as expeditiously as possible, preferably
within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a
copy of this order;
