ORDER This Writ Petition is filed seeking to issue Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to give police protection to the petitioner and his property for safeguarding from trespass into the property situated in Old Survey No.70, New Survey No.70/2A at Panangulam (east), Alangudi Taluk, Pudukottai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 05.02.2026. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the private respondents 3 to 15, are continuously trespassing in the petitioner's properties, pursuant to which, the petitioner had given a representation to the respondent police on 05.02.2026 seeking to afford necessary police protection to his life, limb and his property. No.845 of 2026 22042 of 2025 is filed, seeking to direct the Revenue Divisional Officer to dispose of the appeal dated 7-9-2022, preferred by the petitioner's father, namely Tamilarasan, who had passed away, subdivide and issue separate patta in favour of the petitioner in respect of the property in Old Survey No.70, New Survey No.70/2A to an extent of 5.91.0 Hectare situated at Panangulam East, Alangudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District. This Court by order dated 13-8-2025 had directed the Revenue Divisional Officer, Pudukkottai, to consider the petitioner's appeal preferred by his father dated 07.09.2022 and pass final orders within a period of 12 weeks thereafter, after affording opportunity to the petitioner as well as the rival parties. Pending the said appeal, the respondents are continuously interfering with the peaceful position and enjoyment of the property and sought the indulgence of this Court seeking police protection. 3. The learned Government Advocate submitted that pending appeal before the revenue authorities, the respondent police cannot meddle in civil matter and even in her representation, she had informed about the dependency of the appeal before the Revenue Divisoinal Officer. 4/7 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

4. Heard either sides and carefully perused the materials available on record. 5. Considering the civil nature of the dispute involved, the petitioner is directed to resolve his dispute by expediting the pending appeal before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Pudukotai. The Revenue Divisional Officer, Pudukkottai, is suo motu impleaded as 16th respondent in this Writ Petition. Mrs. M.R.Priyanka Jothi, takes notice for the 16th respondent. Registry is directed to carry out necessary amendment in the cause title. 6.
The 16th respondent is directed to expedite the the enquiry on the appeal filed by the petitioner's father in O.Mu.A2/6603/22 and conclude the same within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that the petitioner can make fresh application to the second respondent.
