Mr. Gaurav Raj, AC to AAG-II appearing on behalf of the opposite party no. 2 while referring to the order as contained in memo no. 4194 dated 15.12.2025 (Annexure-A to the show cause affidavit dated 09.01.2026), submits that the petitioner’s claim for payment of engagement fee for the period from 04.05.2023 to 01.06.2023 has been considered and Rs.1,89,783/- has been found admissible. A copy of the aforesaid reasoned order has been communicated to the petitioner. Accordingly, the said amount has been sanctioned for making payment to the petitioner. It is further submitted that the said payment shall be made to the petitioner without undue delay. 3. The petitioner appearing in-person through virtual mode accepts the fact regarding sanction of the aforesaid amount 2026:JHHC:513 2 in his favour. He, however, submits that he deserves to be paid much more amount towards his engagement fee. 4. Be that as it may. 5. Since the opposite party no. 2 has already sanctioned Rs.1,89,783/- as the admitted engagement fee for the period from 04.05.2023 to 01.06.2023, the payment of the same shall be made to the petitioner positively within two weeks, failing which the petitioner will be at liberty to file a fresh contempt petition. 6. The contempt petition is accordingly disposed of. 7. If the petitioner has any surviving grievance, he is at liberty to take appropriate recourse as permissible under law. (Rajesh Shankar, J.)
