Order This Writ Petition is filed for a Mandamus directing the 4th respondent to consider the petitioner's petition dated 19.01.2023 as expeditiously within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's grandfather M.Chinnappaboyen had owned a land in R.S.No.54/4 admeasuring about 3.46 Acre situated in Kannanguruchi Village, Salem. The petitioner grandmother Mrs.Ponni executed a Settlement Deed admeasuring about 15 cents in favour of the petitioner and his brother vide Doc.No.2479/2012 on 30.08.2012. There were some mistakes found in the boundaries of the schedule mentioned property and the same was rectified by executing a rectification deed dated 13.10.2025 in Doc.No.4142/2025. Further, the measurement was wrongly mentioned as 1½ cents instead of 15 cents in the patta. Hence, the petitioner gave a petition dated 19.01.2023 before the 2nd respondent for rectifying the measurement, which was forwarded by the 2nd respondent to the respondents 3 and 4. The petitioner also sent a representation dated 23.06.2025 before the 1st respondent with the initial representation dated
19.01.2023. The 1st respondent also sent a communication dated 01.07.2025 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

Despite the communication, till date, the respondents 3 and 4 have not taken any steps on the petitioner's petition dated 19.01.2023 and hence, the present writ petition.
3. In reply, the learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner’s petition dated 19.01.2023 will be
disposed of by the 2nd respondent within a period of eight weeks.
4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Counsel for the respondents and also perused the materials available on record.
5. In view of the above, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner’s petition dated 19.01.2023 on its own merits and dispose of the same in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
