Learned counsel for the applicant submitted that W.P.No.15212 of 2020 was disposed of by the learned Single Judge, vide order dated 26.4.2023 directing the first respondent/District Collector to immediately take steps to shift the burial ground to Survey No.28/5. Challenging the order of the learned Single Judge, the respondents have filed W.A.No.2979 of 2023. This Court, after recording the undertaking given by the Government Advocate that they will comply with the order within four months, disposed of the writ appeal, vide judgment dated 22.4.2024. Since the respondents have failed to comply with the judgment dated 22.4.2024, the applicant has filed Contempt Petition No.60 of 2025. On 7.4.2025, when the contempt petition was taken up for hearing, this Court, recording the proceedings dated 22.3.2025 that the order has been given effect to and Survey No.28/5 has been designated as burial ground, closed the contempt petition. 3. Taking into consideration the submission made by learned counsel for the applicant that still the order of this Court has not been complied with, we are inclined to allow the sub application. 5. Accordingly, the sub application is allowed. The Contempt Petition No.60 of 2025 is restored to file. The Registry is directed to list the contempt petition on 27.7.2026 for filing status report by the respondents.
