property standing in her name for the purpose of enabling them to repay the loan borrowed by them. Since the first informant did not agree for the same, the accused persons allegedly had assaulted her on 09.08.2026 at about 10:00 p.m. Therefore, she went to a hospital and took treatment. After returning from the hospital, at about 02:00 a.m., she was once again allegedly assaulted by the accused persons and was also criminally intimidated by them. Therefore, she once again went to the hospital and after taking treatment, approached the police on 10.08.2026 at about 20:45 hours. Based on her first information, FIR was registered against the petitioners for the aforesaid offences. 5. Learned High Court Government Pleader has brought to the notice of this Court that the first informant has suffered only simple injuries as a result of the alleged assault made by the accused persons. - 5 -

The petitioners and the first informant are all close relatives. The incident in question appears to have taken place on account of the dispute regarding the sale of a property which allegedly stands in the name of the first informant. The petitioners have undertaken to co-operate with the police for the purpose of investigation. They have not used any weapons to assault the victim. 7. Under these circumstances, I am of the opinion that the prayer made by the petitioners for grant of anticipatory bail needs to be answered affirmatively subject to appropriate conditions. Accordingly, the following:
O R D E R i) The criminal petition is allowed. ii) The respondent - Police or any other police in the State of Karnataka are directed to release the petitioner in the event of his arrest in Crime No.151/2026 registered by Vijayanagar Police Station, Bengaluru City
