A report has been submitted by AG and OT, wherein it has been stated that on inspection by Officer on Special Duty, Additional Deputy AG and OT of Tamil Nadu on 26.03.2024, it was found that properties are in dilapidated condition. According to learned AG and OT, deteriorated structures pose threat to passer-by and damage to neighbouring properties, apart from causing health hazards to public at large on account of debris accumulated in the properties. 3. On perusal of the report submitted by Special Officer, it is seen that the back side of the building completely fell down and neighbors have complained that the building has become a shelter for poisonous snakes and insects. Therefore, learned AG and OT has filed this application, seeking permission for demolition. Learned AG & OT has also identified a Contractor by name M/s.Sri Shhakthi Construction, who has offered to demolish properties and clean debris at free of cost and to execute the work of fencing for Rs.2,78,952/-. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

This Court is of the view that before any untoward incident takes place, in the interest of neighbours / public at large, permission is to be accorded to learned AG & OT for demolition of properties. 5. Accordingly, the present Application is ordered.
