And In the matter of : Khokan Kasim @ Kashem ……Petitioner. Mr. Satadru Lahiri Mr. Syed Wasim Faruque Mr. Jyotirmoy Talukder ……for the Petitioner. Mr. Madhusudan Sur Ms. Poulami Bose ……for the State. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner is in custody for a period of more than 1 year and there has been alleged seizure of 300 bottles of Phensedyl. Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that petitioner has also been charged under the relevant provisions of the Foreigners Act. Having considered the totality of the circumstances, I am of the view that this is not a fit case for granting bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner in CRM (NDPS) 198 of 2026 is dismissed. 2 State is directed to expedite the process of trial as all the witnesses cited in the charge sheet are from the Government Departments. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
