1. Mr. Dharmendra Barthwal, learned counsel for the petitioners.
2. Mr. Bhaskar Chandra Joshi, learned A.G.A. with Mrs. Rangoli Purohit and Mr. Vijay Khanduri, learned Brief Holders for the State.
3. The petitioners Saniya D/o Riyasat and Arif S/o Hamida are praying for adequate protection since there is a threat perception from respondent nos. 4 to 6 the father and brothers of petitioner no.

4. It is contended in the petition that both are major and married with each other on 02.05.2026 and the marriage certificate is also placed on record. With regard to the age proof the Aadhar card as well as school leaving certificate are placed on record.
5. Learned State counsel has not disputed on the age of the petitioners as well as with regard to the marriage since the documents have already been annexed.
6. Admittedly, both the petitioners are major and now married with each other without any coercion and if there is any threat perception from the private respondents the local administration should assess and take appropriate steps.
7. In such view of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of finally with the direction to the S.S.P., Haridwar to assess the threat perception of the petitioners from respondent nos. 4 to 6 and if he comes to the conclusion that there is any threat, take appropriate steps.
8. In addition to this, the S.H.O., Laksar, is also
directed to call upon the respondent nos. 4 to 6 and advise them not to take law in their hands.
