By instituting the instant public interest litigation petition, a prayer has been made seeking a direction to the department concerned of the Delhi Government to remove all substandard construction carried out under the work, namely “Construction of Outfall Drain of Extended Abadi Asola from Asola Bandh Road to SSN Marg in Gram Asola, Chhatarpur Assembly Constituency (A. C.-46)” 3. The allegation in the petition is that the petitioners are residents in the vicinity where the aforesaid work is being undertaken and on account of substandard construction they are likely to suffer. Accordingly, we permit the petitioner to apprise the Additional Chief Secretary of the Department concerned of the Delhi Government of their grievances by way of making a representation taking all the pleas which may be available to them and enclosing therewith all the documents on which they tend to rely upon. 5. The said representation be made within a fortnight from today and shall be attended to and appropriate action thereon shall also be taken by the competent authority of the State Government in the department concerned within 06 weeks thereof. 6. In case, any substandard construction or any deviation in the work in question is found by the Government, as has been asserted by learned counsel for the petitioner, appropriate action which may be warranted under law shall also be ensured. 7.
