Heard Mr. Prem Kaushal, learned counsel for the petitioner appeared through V.C. and Mr. V. D. Bisen, learned Addl. C.S.C. assisted by Mr. I. P. Kohli, learned Standing Counsel for the State. 2. Learned State counsel places on record a communication dated 28.04.2026, which is a letter addressed by the S.S.P., Nainital, to the Chief Standing Counsel, High Court of Uttarakhand, Nainital on the subject matter of the instant writ petition, whereby it has been intimated that the order of S.S.P, Nainital dated 28.04.2026 has been annexed as Annexure No.4, whereby the S.S.P., Nainital has directed that the petitioner, Rajeev Kumar, has been reinstated in service with immediate effect; however, the order would be subject to the final outcome of the case arising out of the FIR No.84 of 2022 under Section 420 of IPC. The letter, which has been handed over by the learned State counsel, is taken on record. 3. In view of above, since the petitioner has been directed to be reinstated in service, the present writ petition has become infructuous. 4. The present writ petition is dismissed as infructuous accordingly.
